3 Part-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description The job of ELD Teacher (Summer Program) was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for developing bilingual students' ability to effectively perform courses of study in the English language.
Functions Designs and implements engaging, interactive lessons to develop academic language comprehension, production, and fluency to support ongoing language development during the summer.
Essential Functions Adapts lessons and materials to ensure comprehension and engagement of all learners.
Engages in ongoing formative language assessment.
For the purpose of evaluating students' language ability and providing feedback to stakeholders.

Collaborates with instructional staff, school personnel, parents and a variety of community stakeholders for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes.
May counsel students for the purpose of improving performance, health status, problem solving techniques and a variety of personal issues.
Demonstrates methods required to perform effective classroom and/or subject specific teaching and learning for the purpose of providing an effective program.
Instructs bilingual students for the purpose of improving their success in academics and skills.
Models English communication for the purpose of developing student ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
Prepares a variety of written materials (e.
g.
grades, attendance, anecdotal records, etc.
) for the purpose of documenting student progress and meeting mandated requirements.
Responds to inquires from a variety of sources (e.
g.
other teachers, parents, administrators, etc.
) for the purpose of resolving issues, providing information and/or direction.
Other Functions Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
Monitors students in a variety of educational environments (e.
g.
classroom, playground, field trips, nap times, etc.
) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
Participates in a variety of meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Reports incidents (e.
g.
fights, suspected child abuse, suspected substance abuse, etc.
) for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment and adhering to School Code and school policies.
Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Minimum requirements:
PDE ESL Program Specialist certificate PDE certification in Elementary, Secondary English, Foreign Language or Reading Specialist Job related experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
